New On Highway Trucks for Sale
In 2010, Caterpillar began approaching the On-Highway Truck business in a new way, ceasing operations in supplying new on-highway truck engines for use within the United States and instead, launching a new line of On-Highway Vocational Trucks, loaded with features and options for the toughest jobs. Before ever putting a single design for the first truck in this line, the CT660, to paper, Caterpillar spent hours on the road asking customers to describe their ideal truck. The designers rode alongside the drivers and gathered input on everything from specs and comfort, to visibility and performance.
Caterpillar also aligned with Navistar so that these new on-highway vocational trucks would use a combination of Cat and Navistar power train components, and not use Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) to reduce emissions.
At CONEXPO 2011 Caterpillar debuted the first truck of the new Cat Vocational Truck Line, the Cat CT660. This Class 8 Truck have since been sold and serviced exclusively by Cat North American Dealers and offers custom solutions for a large variety of job applications – from moving rock and hauling trash to logging and pouring concrete.
Caterpillar has also remained committed to all existing on-highway customers by continuing to provide service and support for all Cat Engines.
