| Holt of California is seeking a qualified Journey Level Electric Lift Specialist/Mechanic with basic skill levels to repair and maintain diesel, L/P and gasoline industrial trucks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS --Reads job order and observes, listens, and diagnoses all types of lift trucks in operation to determine malfunction to plan work procedures and makes necessary repairs. Must have journey level abilities to repair units powered by industrial batteries. --Diagnose and repair control systems and related circuits, changes or recharges batteries, repair and replace motors, pumps and valves. --Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and makes adjustments according to all manufacturers and OSHA specifications. --Lubricate moving parts. --Perform a final operation/safety check before returning machine back into service. --Must poses good working knowledge of A/C and D/C electric lift truck operating systems (i.e., micro-command, Curtis, and EV-1, EV-100, drive and control systems). --Remove and rebuild drive units. --Read and comprehend schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting trees with practical knowledge. --Repair documentation and paperwork completed and turned in on a daily basis. --Perform complete brake repairs and adjustments. --Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems. --Must excel in all aspects of electric lift troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs. --Other duties may be assigned. | High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
