An Industrial Gas Engine Field Technician is an electric power generation based position. Holt of California is seeking an individual that possesses Caterpillar gas engine expertise or has similar knowledge on other manufacturers of gas engines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities --Operate, maintain, program, troubleshoot, and repair: Power Systems control panels and control equipment; low voltage generation; main generator rotor and stator; excitation systems; current and potential transformers; transfer switches; circuit breakers; and bypass switches --Repair/overhaul Caterpillar gas engines --Back-up stand-by and prime power system installations with rental generators	Requires a high school diploma or GED and/or five years related experience. Prefer successful completion or equivalent knowledge of the following courses: Intro to EPG, EPG I, Caterpillar Engine Electronics, Caterpillar 3000 through 3500 Series Engines, and Olympian Generators.
