Delta College |
| In addition to ThinkBIG, Delta College offers Degree and Certificate programs in Diesel & Heavy Equipment Technology, Fluid Power Technology and Welding Technology. Business majors can also receive a comprehensive A.S. Degree in AG Business or a Basic Business Certificate. Diesel & Heavy Equipment Technology Diesel Technology is a program of specialized theory and laboratory exercises in general maintenance of diesel trucks, diesel engines, and the supportive equipment provided for their functional purposes. The subject matter is designed to help one secure employment in the truck and diesel industries. Upon successful completion of the Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certificate, the student demonstrates skills, knowledge, and training for entry-level employment for the following positions: technician for heavy equipment dealerships, technician for heavy equipment repair facilities, technician for agricultural dealerships/repair shops, and technician for industrial engine dealers. Fluid Power Technology Fluid Power is concerned with the use of pressurized fluid in a confined system to accomplish work using liquid in a hydraulic system and air in a pneumatic system.
